For the celebration of the International Creole Day, La Maison d’Édition Les Amazones and its co-founder, Djenika Mars, were honored to receive an award from the City of Boston and the City Council in recognition of their exceptional dedication to promoting women’s voices in literature, their commitment and leadership to fostering cultural diversity and inclusion through the written word.
The evening featured the launch of the Pen To Power Workshop and a live performance by Haitian Samba Zao.
